Many helped us reach the Matching Challenge Goal

Where there’s a need, there’s a way. Last month, Crosby Marketing heard that our major spring food drive was cancelled for the second year in a row due to the pandemic (it usually brings in 40,000 pounds of food each year!). They responded with a Matching Gift Challenge of $50,000 to help inspire donations and bridge the gap of the uncollected food.

And because of people like you, we surpassed the goal and raised almost $100,000 in individual donations, plus the $50,000 match to the Anne Arundel Food Bank!

“The whole Crosby team is excited that so many people stepped up to meet our matching gift challenge and far exceed the $50,000 fundraising goal,” said Crosby Marketing President & CEO, Raymond Crosby. “Everyone who pitched in can feel really good about making a real difference for so many of our neighbors.”

As the pandemic continues to negatively impact our County, the need continues to skyrocket. We see our neighbors in need seek food assistance at almost five times previous rates and this level of need is unlikely to go away anytime soon.

Thank you for your enormous generosity… and your even bigger hearts. You are the reason our neighbors have food today and hope for a better tomorrow.

P.S. If you missed the challenge, become a monthly donor today (select recurring) and help provide food security for your neighbors year-round.
