Food Drive for Afghan Refugees

In Anne Arundel County, 70 refugee families have been working to assimilate into America. Please help them in their journey by donating food and gift cards that will be given directly to these families.

The following items are requested:

Dry and Canned

• Naan Bread (pack of 8) Medium Size
• Wheat Pita Bread
• Rice (Basmati, 5 pounds)
• Dried Beans
• Dry Lentils (yellow or brown, 16 oz.)
• Salt (Iodized, Standard Size)
• Pepper
• Canned Chickpeas
• Canned Kidney Beans
• Cooking Oil (Vegetable, 48 oz.)
• Sugar (32 oz. bag)
• Pasta (Spaghetti)
• Pasta Sauce (24 oz.)
• Tomato Paste (12 oz.)

Beverages

• Black Tea (tea bags)
• Green Tea (tea bags)
• Shelf Stable Orange or Apple Juice (not refrigerated)

$25 Gift Cards
(To be used to help purchase coats, shoes, baby items, winter clothing, etc.)

How to Donate:
Donating food to the Anne Arundel County Food Bank is easy! Simply drop off your donated items to our warehouse during our open hours listed below:

Monday – Friday
9:00am – 12:00pm and 1:00pm – 3:00pm

Go to Dock 1 and please place donations in the marked bin on the dock.
