Thank you for helping us exceed our goal!

Thank you

The summer match challenge ended on July 31st and because of supporters like you, we were able not only to meet the $50,000 match provided by Crosby Marketing but also to exceed our goal! In total, we raised over $140,000 to help meet the needs of people facing food insecurity in Anne Arundel County.

If you didn’t get a chance to make your gift, please consider giving now to help your neighbors in need access nutritious food throughout the remainder of the summer.

Brockbridge Volunteers

The need for food and basic necessities continues at unprecedented levels throughout Anne Arundel County. May 2021 we published a blog post on the Brock Bridge Elementary Pantry on the Go, and just over a year later, much of the information remains the same. A line of cars still snakes around the parking lot and onto the road, with families waiting to receive the fresh and canned foods needed to supplement their groceries in the coming weeks. This pantry continues to serve around 200 households during its bi-monthly food distributions.

We continue to see 38,400 visits to our 70+ member agency food pantries EACH month, as families are feeling the squeeze on their budgets due to the high cost of groceries, housing, and electricity.

“With the lingering impacts of COVID and rising costs of everyday needs due to inflation, too many people in our community are going hungry or struggling to provide the basics for their children,” said Raymond Crosby, President & Chief Executive Officer of Crosby Marketing. “We’re proud to do this summer matching challenge for the second straight year to help the Anne Arundel County Food Bank fulfill its critical mission.”

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Anne Arundel County Food Bank has distributed over 10 million pounds of food and basic necessities to under-resourced residents throughout Anne Arundel County. Thank you to everyone who supports our work and ensures that everyone in Anne Arundel County has enough to eat.
