Your Donation Can Make An Impact

Your donated food helps make sure we can support thousands of Anne Arundel County residents who are experiencing food insecurity. If you are interested in hosting a food drive for your community, civic organization, or house of worship, please visit Host a Food Drive.

What Foods
Should I Donate?

Our high-priority items are shelf-stable items, especially those high in fiber and low in both sodium and sugar, including:
 

  • Peanut butter and jelly (plastic jars)
  • 1-pound bags or boxes of rice
  • 1-pound bags of dry beans and legumes (pinto, black, lentils)
  • Healthy snacks (breakfast bars, dried fruit, nuts)
  • Baby food and formula
  • Nutritional shakes and supplements (Ensure, Boost)

Other foods
in demand include:

  • Canned soup and stews
  • Canned fruit and vegetables
  • Canned fish (tuna, salmon)
  • Canned chicken
  • Canned beans
  • Pasta (whole-grain)
  • Shelf-stable milk and plant-based milks
  • Whole-grain hot and cold cereal
  • Cooking oils and spices

Please
note:

  • Glass jars often break. Please select items in plastic containers when possible.
  • Select canned goods less than 28 oz. and other items at 1 pound or less.
  • Please respect “use by” and “sell by” dates. Donations are checked before distribution to our Network Partner food pantries.
  • Cases of bottled water are not needed at this time.

Can I Donate Non-Food Items?

Yes! Diapers (baby and adult, all sizes), baby wipes, and personal hygiene products are also appreciated.

Donations can be dropped off  at our AACFB warehouse during our drop-off hours:

120 Marbury Drive, Crownsville, Maryland
Monday through Friday: 9 am – Noon and 1 pm – 3 pm

 

Directions: Once you turn onto Marbury Drive, continue straight through the stop sign. Pass the first loading dock and pull up to the second loading dock at the end of the building. You will see two large bins on the loading dock. Please place your items in the bins. If you need a receipt, go through the sliding door on the right of the loading dock and ask our receptionist to help you.
