COUNTY NUTRITION
PROGRAMS

The Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities has multiple nutritional programs for seniors.

 

  • Home-Delivered Meal Program: Meals are delivered by volunteers. Special diets can be accommodated. Call 410-222-4257 for more information
  • Congregate Meal Program: This program serves hot meals for seniors in a group setting, such as a senior center, senior housing, and community seniors. Call 410-222-0256 for more information.
  • Shop ’N Eat Program: This program provides seniors an opportunity to purchase subsidized grocery cash cards and learn about various nutrition education topics to develop healthy eating habits. – Can apply online or in person at any county senior center.
  • Senior Farmers Market Coupon Program: Coupons are provided to low-income seniors for use at authorized farmers’ markets and authorized farmers. Call 410-222-4464 for more information.

HOUSING RESOURCE
PORTAL

Anne Arundel County government, local partners, and private community-based organizations offer a broad range of housing-related resources to County residents. This portal allows residents to search for programs and resources that serve their needs. 

 

SUMMER EBT
PROGRAM

The USDA has launched Summer EBT, a new program available in 37 states (including Maryland), all five U.S. territories, and two Tribes. The program will provide grocery benefits to low-income families with school-aged children during the summer months when school is out. Eligible families in participating states will receive $120 per eligible school-aged child to purchase groceries.
 

SNAP PAYMENTS
ONLINE

Did you know that some stores accept the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) online? In Maryland, 28 retailers participate, making it easier to obtain food and other basic necessities.
