This September, take action all month long and help the Anne Arundel County Food Bank fight food insecurity in our community. Plus! With each action that you take, the Jessica & Bruce Morgenstern Local Impact Fund will donate $5 to the Anne Arundel County Food Bank up to $5,000!
Over 200 people have picked up their Hunger Action Month passport booklet and have been tracking their actions in hopes of winning amazing prizes. If you would like to be entered into the Grant Prize drawing, please let us know how many actions you have taken to help fight hunger in our community. Please take your completed passport booklet to the front desk of the Anne Arundel County Food Bank (Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm) by 9/28/2022!
Do you want to take action and help us fight food insecurity in our community, this Hunger Action Month and beyond? Here are four great ways to get involved!
- Volunteer: Join us on the sorting line or become a member of our volunteer delivery and pick-up crew.
- Become a monthly donor: Your monthly support can help us plan ahead and make sure we meet the food needs in our county.
- Host a food drive: A perfect way to bring together your community or business by collecting non-perishable food items for your neighbors experiencing food insecurity.
- Join us for an event: Help us raise money for our programs while also learning more about the AA Co Food Bank! Check out the upcoming Cruising Out Hunger (9/29), a fun event for the entire family! Get your tickets before they sell out!
#HungerActionMonth has ended, but food insecurity remains a reality for far too many of our neighbors throughout Anne Arundel County. Thank you to all people who took action this month to help fight hunger and ensure everyone in our County has enough to eat.
